Individual dog training
We would start your dog training journey with a 2 step process:
Zoom consultation
In person behavior assessment
Step 1: Zoom Consult
My dog training model begins with a Zoom consultation.
I will listen to your problems.
I will help you understand your dog.
We will establish goals for the future.
Zoom follow up videos
I have made a series of instructional videos that I provide to my clients.
They are a great way to see my dog training techniques in action and understand that training is a journey.
Step 2: In Person Behavior Assessment
The in person dog behavior assessment is an opportunity for me to explore your dog’s version of safety.
Once this is identified, I’d like to see what brings your dog joy- food, games, toys, sniffing?
This is necessary to begin working towards training goals.
If I don’t know what brings your dog joy, I can’t start asking what could bring relief, during times of stress.
Future dog training will take place in your home and neighborhood.

The Zoom consultation is like a therapy session- where I can listen to your problems and help you start to understand your dog’s behavior.
I can help you reframe expectations & answer your questions. I also do demonstrations with our dog.
You will receive follow up emails, videos and homework.
In person behavior assessment~
We meet at India Basin Shoreline Park. I can evaluate your dog and see how your dog responds to the environment.
I want to learn what makes your dog happy, as well as what can be challenging.
Initial investment for
90 minute Zoom consultation &
60 minute in person behavior assessment:

Once we meet in person,
let the games begin!
We design a training plan that meets your needs.
I can help you with issues at home, in public, and whatever you need for support.
I offer training packages and payment plans.
I also can help identify dog professionals for care in your absence.
I may even be able to take your dog on adventure hikes!
Adventure hikes
Some dog training clients need more support.
When my schedule permits, I love to take my client dogs out for adventure hikes on the Bay Trail.
We play games, practice recall and learn how to navigate the world together.
This service is limited to clients in the Mission & adjacent districts.
Group meet ups
Empawthy training clients are invited to monthly group meet ups.
Did you know reactive dogs can actually walk with other reactive dogs?
I call it “Gamify your group walks.”

Bar practice
Empawthy training clients are invited to meet me at my local bar to practice hanging out in public.
I’ll bring yummy food and chews for your dog.
I’ll help you learn how to advocate for your dog and enjoy the experience without stress.
